| Executive Vice President First Magnus Financial April 2007 – September 2007 ( 6 months)Operating under the Amtrust dba name, I managed a retail production division with 180 mortgage professionals generating $70 million per month in funded loan production.First Magnus was the largest independent, privately held mortgage banker in the U.S., with annual originations of $30 Billion. They filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection and ceased lending operations on August 16, 2007. |
| CEO Amtrust Mortgage Corporation November 1994 – April 2007 (12 years 6 months)Founded company in November 1994. Sold half interest in 2000 to partner Bob Wilensky.As of April 2007, Amtrust Mortgage Corporation employed approximately 270 mortgage professionals. During the 24 months leading up to April 2007, monthly loan production averaged $100 million, generating annual revenues in excess of $40 million. Amtrust was a predominately retail correspondent lender licensed in 26 states with HUD, FHLMC and FNMA approvals and as much as $100MM in warehouse lending facilities. In addition to other duties as CEO, my favorite role was in recruitment, retention and support of our experienced production team. Average annual production per Loan Officer was approximately $17MM. In April 2007, together with 180 of our retail production team, we joined with First Magnus Financial Corporation to run a Southeastern Production division. |
| President Southern Capital Mortgage Corporation September 1990 – November 1994 (4 years 3 months)The company produced approximately $126 million in residential mortgage loans annually and managed $12 million in warehouse lines of credit. It sold the majority of its production on a servicing released, correspondent basis.As President, my primary focus was strategic planning and development, marketing, personnel recruiting and sales management. In November 1994, I sold my half of Southern Capital Financial Corporation stock to my ex-partner and formed Amtrust Mortgage Corporation. |
